The Goal (or as you will soon see the complete lack of anything that looks remotely like one)

I would like to say that I got this blog with a higher purpose in mind. That I wanted to effect social change or inform on weighty matters that deserve wide attention. But it really is just so I can write about my favorite things; namely shops, restaurants, beer, wine, bars (I guess that was implied by the beer and wine, right?) and books. Above and beyond all books.
